Ian and Grant,
From my observation on CMP Chevs, the start of 13 cab production and introduction of the later style data plate did not coincide exactly. Where the "old" style (cab 11 & 12) data plate was used on early 13 cabs, the build date and contract number were placed on the bottom of the shift pattern plate, located on the front of the engine cover. I have never found a written reference as to when the switchover in plate style occurred, certainly not in the service bulletins. Brian
