Default 30 K Views

YouTube is indeed an interesting form of media with strange attractions. My video of the Pilot Model HUP just passed the 30 thousand views threshold (no, the majority of views were not mine...).

Gratuitously self-aggrandizing bump:

Default Rhodesian HUP

Whilst watching Clarkson, May and Hammond galivanting across Zimbabwe, I spotted a forlorn HUP in the scrap yard they were visiting. Fans can watch the final episode of the Grand Tour and pause at the 42.50 mark of the show to see it. I'll bet that it had one hell of a life.

Hi Bob, After a few years marked by divorce, sickness and other calamities, it is time to get back to the things that bring some sense of joy and accomplishment. So, yes, the 45 HUP will be revived this Spring.

Currently, I have the frame and floor of the 43 Pilot Model in the shop. The frame needs some paint work, and the floor needs some welding. As the weather warms up, activity will increase.

One of these days you and Grant must make your way out to the farm for a tour and a brew or two.

And in keeping with the theme of this thread, I have a good number of HUP bodies and frames in what is to you, a strange place. Make it strange no more!

Default I will have the two beers.....

....Grant usually does not drink!!!!!

I am also waiting for Spring...... finally got myself two steel front fenders for the 1940 Chev truck that I want to build as an early Cairo production LRDG vehicle...... if I live long enough...... I do have a spare rebuilt 235 and all the other parts.....but recently acquired a civilian "302" to play with that might go into to the LRDG to give it more Ooomph!!! as a two wheel drive lenght of the engine and tranny is not an issue.

Not sure when we will be able to order parts from the US without being fleeced.....
