RIP Ron Perry, age 67

I have just heard that forum member Ron Perry has passed away last month at the age of 67.

Ron used to run a moped shop in Haarlem (The Netherlands), but his hobby was scale modelling and military vehicles. So apart from mopeds, scooter parts and helmets, he had a section in the shop for modelling kits. Ron was especially interested in WW2 allied Soft skin vehicles and he had his own website on the subject. http://wheelsofvictory.com/

Sorry to hear this, I met Ron a few times at his shop.

Sorry to hear this, I met Ron a few times at his shop.

As a kid I always used to buy my model kits from his store and sheet plastic for scratch-built projects. Ron was pretty fanatic with scale modelling back in the days.....he had his own brand of vacu-form conversion kits and even bought an injection moulding machine!!
Two years ago or so he retired from the shop and his son or son in law took over. The scale models were sold and Ron moved to France with his wife.
