| US VA NZL Rugby guess whose winning?

Hi All Sitting here watching US vs. NZL rugby game being played in Chicago nearly packed stadium. Sixty minutes in score US 6 NZL 60. What is really interesting is that if this was US football game the people would be leaving, but they are not they, they're staying to watch the top ranked New Zealand team. One of the NZL captains did comment that it was a little colder than normal for them. Cheers Phil Final score 6 to 74, stands still full!!

| Yes and No

Hi David Yes in terms of TV coverage, but no in terms of amateur play they were playing it at the club level when I was in college in the late 60s. I just thought it was neat that they could sell out Soldiers Field stadium some 61,000 fans. Cheers Phil

I take it Phil the game was Rugby Union? Not Rugby League? In which case the Americans are a very game side taking on the All Blacks. Better sides on paper have been flogged by greater margins.

| Apologies

Should wait a bit before posting - just saw the highlights. It was indeed Rugby Union.... the All Blacks vs USA. Looked like a good game despite one sided scoreline.

Yea sitting here at the Australian Embassy in Baghdad, as the only yank here I get ribbed all the time, working with Kiwis's, Aussies and Brits.. So any international match like this is talking sheet time.....We have cricket and rugby on almost every single TV around here. It was great though after the US pulled of the America's cup, they were busting my chops until the US pulled of the major comeback, ahhh karma is a byotch.. Plus I get a little revenge, like when Argentina beat Australia this year in Mendoza..
