Portugal received enough material manufactured in Canada during the period that followed the Second World War. Among the material that provenance found itself the C15TA, which in Portugal was designated Auto Transport Armored GM 4x4 TT M / 947. The car was usually dubbed 'Grenadier'. As the generality of material sourced from Canada, was considered very robust and very good build quality. This robustness have been among the reasons that almost all received 39 vehicles were sent to the Portuguese overseas territories, which has equipped several squadrons of recognition. 16 copies went to India, 15 were for Mozambique and 5 to Guinea. These vehicles equipped the Portuguese reconnaissance squadrons in India, when the invasion of that territory by the Indian Union, along with the armored Humber Mk.IV . In other theaters, have continued to service at least until the late 60s.
