Was that the home of the BC Dragoons? Burrard Street Armoury? There used to be a Sherman sitting in front of it back in the 1980's which made for great, easy comparisons. Nice to know the Ram is still alive and well.

Default Vancouver Ram

It's an early Ram II, presumably one of the ones sent to Debert NS for training 4 CAD. They were then shipped back to MLW, for reconditioning - note the welded shut sponson doors and pistol port, plus the Mk.V 6-pounder and sent to Borden for training.

Default Ram location

Yes, it is the Beatty Street drill hall/ armoury of the British Columbia Regiment in Vancouver. I think I saw an Easy 8 late model Sherman nearby, and also a very old muzzle loading cannon. I' ll try and put a link here to all this : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beatty_Street_Drill_Hall

Default Ram at Debert

This photo of my friends father, Wilfred French, taken at Debert Nov 1942. He was in the BC Reg 4CAD. Where's the gun barrel?
