I think the discussion may be referencing two different types of CMP side curtains. I have never seen Tony's example of a wire framed version of a side curtain (Local Australian Manufacture???) On all of the side curtains I have handled the fasteners were of the type pictured by John. Once installed the end of the bolt was then deformed to prevent it from backing out of the threaded hole. The countersunk portion of the hole was to accommodate the movement of the deformed portion of the bolt. I don't have any images but others might be able to weigh-in. Colin |
