That last pic does raise an interesting question...Is the grease gun a single or dual stage gun?
I ask only because a friend showed me a gun a while back that would do high volume at one part of the stroke, and high pressure with another..

Rob & I were back at our favorite army surplus yard today and found more goodies.I have been on the hunt for tools to fill my Ford 3 Ton CMP and Carrier tool kit list. Thanks to Rob for finding me this Carrier Tow cable.Marked DC-1940 with the hook marked DC and on the other side X1142.I will need to find another hook at some point but is nice to have an original Tow cable finally.

I also found 3 Ball peen hammers in nice shape. One is unmarked (will go with my Ford GPW jeep tools),another one is marked GRAY and has a part number on the bottom of the handle 212E (will go with my Carrier tools),and an ETF with CANADA formed in the head ( CMP tools).

I have also found a few more DREADNAUGHT and ETF wrenches that I think may fill in some missing spots in my tool kit list. There were a couple of DREADNAUGHT crescent wrenches (an 8 inch for the CMP tool kit and a 10 inch which I thought I needed for the carrier but it lists a 12 inch crescent wrench so will have to go back one day and get the 12 inch Crescent wrench that I had in my hand but set down and picked up the 10 inch instead!) The DREADNAUGHT crescent wrenches also prove that GRAY are the one's that make the DREADNAUGHT brand of wrench. Another double end box wrench I found marked GRAY on one side and CANADA on the other side with a maple leaf stamped in it.

Another trip to our favorite surplus yard today and I found some more items to fill my tool kit list.A BULLDOG shovel, rusty but I can take care of that! A few punches that fit the description in the tool kit list as 1/8'' x 1/2'' x 5'' long. One is A(crown)M 1941 and inscribed RCAF,one is ETF,one is Sheffield England and one is LAWSON & HEATON. The chisel also fits the tool kit description 3/4'' x 3/4'' x 6'' long. A few spare bulbs for my spare bulbs tin. A bundle of the wirecutter/machette lanyards that are listed in the parts manual as
*CO1Q 17056 and it just so happens that I need 3 for my wirecutters and a couple for my machettes. A nice fuel spout for my jeep tool kit. A 24'' bar for the nut spanners. Another WALKER 926 jack and a mess kit knife that was in with the issue spoons & forks. On the way home I stopped at an antique store and found a 1944 dated jack No 18. I already had a No.16 jack that said MADE IN CANADA but no date.I also have a WALKER-266 jack rated for 6 tons but not sure that it is military or not. Can anyone confirm if it is military? And there were 2 engine crank handles there as well that I picked up just in case they were military. And the search continues for the rest of the tools I am missing! Regards,Derk

Well I spent another few hours last week at my favourite surplus yard looking for that elusive carrier jack handle 17081 (both types!) and while going through barrels of old jacks I finally found a Walker 925 carrier hydraulic jack with the large head! The plate is missing off of the front and it’s missing some pieces but I have another jack I can use the parts to fix this one.
I have yet to find that damn jack handle though! I did manage to find a couple of the bars for the cam adjusting blocks which I was missing from my tool list so happy to find those. I also found some type of jack handle with a twist to it, painted green but no part number on it. Any ideas on what it’s from? Also brought home a couple of bars that turned up some numbers, one being Budd 44201 and on the other side 41H 154110. I found another carrier hook and 3 DND ARMY marked fire extinguishers.
