Lucky skunk, Bruce! I think I have seen her in wartime Pacific news reels, but cannot recall where abouts.

USS Alabama did Atlantic and Murmansk runs until transferred to the US Pacific Fleet. She's now in Mobile. Alabama together with the Gato class sub USS Drum.

Sachmo (Louis Arrmstrong) festival in New Orleans is on the agenda too...

I did say wooohooo, right!!!!

Both Here Comes the Navy, and Mister Roberts are both available on ebay, on DVD.
Good to see some classics are available still.
Will make a point of buying HC the N when i next get the urge to shop for movies.
