I am just completing the restoration of a 25 pdr Gun. The gun is of Canadian manufacture 1942 and nicely marked on the Ring,jacket and barrel.
I have completely stripped ,sand blasted and cleaned all component's before reassembly so it is ready to fit straight into a Sexton self propelled Gun. The Gun is deactivated but has a fully operational breech that works very smoothly. I have restored this just as a fill in between other restorations and to use up some of my spares . Yes Jason you are quite right it would look good on the wall in the house but you need some pretty hefty wall hangers !
