Yes Richard, they were sealed wit Loctite. I also put a thin layer of copper sealant on the head gasket. Should be OK.

Just made some quick set up of the front of the engine. You can see brand new single pulley pumps there - Im still thinking about use of only one belt as an option (maybe just temporarily).
Dont have proper double crankshaft pulley yet and I think that modern belts are much more capable to the original ones, so even one single belt can withstand the torque of the two old ones. Bad idea?
Anyway, I have double pulleys for pumps on stock, so can be replaced if needed. Still looking for the crankshaft pulley though.

Petr,Do you have the original fan?
It takes a lot of driving and I think both belts will be required.
The fan mounts on a fan extension which has a fibre coupling to drive the generator. No side load is put on the generator bearings.
Usually double pulley water pumps have a bearing in them. Single pulley pumps are bushed.
Your generator is not the right one. It should have a thread on the drive end to take a keyed drive dog.
If you need photos I can look for them.

Edit. The fan needs to be positioned in the fan shroud to work properly. The fan extension does this. you should aim to fit all the shrouds to help the difficult task of moving cool air through the radiator etc.
I have seen carriers that overheat because parts are left out.

No Lynn, Im missing fan extension too, so Im a bit improvising there.
So far I have smaller fan on hand, which is mounted directly to the generator pulley.
