Hmm, I can see why the historians make a note of this. But from an artistic point of view I do like it that all the salutes are lined up with each other. If it was 100% historically correct, the woman serving in the Navy would be saluting different from the others. And would a nurse and a factory worker bring a military salute? I don't think so....
Anyway, here's hoping the exhibition helps to make clear the contributions made by women to the Canadian war efforts were crucial. PS: thanks to the article I now know why I had to salute with palm down - because of my "stoker's" grubby hands ![]() http://www.warmuseum.ca/event/world-war-women/

An acquaintance of Ed's found me that morning and asked my opinion. I agreed that the CWM's cunning marketing plan was working and they were actively doing a lot of CYA.
In my opinion it doesn't attract the right attention. Those of us who know are less inclined to share of ourselves and our time when we see inaccuracy tolerated and excused. What's next? The Zimmeritt on the Panther is passed off as officially sanctioned Eastern Front heat insulation?

Maybe they got confused, and thought they were American.
![]() The above, is a soldier saluting the casket of President Roosevelt, as the procession passes by on the way to the funeral. This just appeared on a documentary I'm watching.
