I believe the correct VAOS # is ZA4500. There were two types, #2B & 2C.
These are WT8 No. 2 keys. Louis Meulstee has a free download available on morse keys at http://www.wftw.nl/keyandplugv1%2003m.pdf On page 8 there are photos of the Canadian key which has a 1940 date.

According to Bruce's link, the Morse key would have been used with the 11 set too.
Does anyone have a spare mounting plate for one? Those latches off my bit of junk weren't quite a bolt on item. The latch housings were threaded where the 11 set ones weren't. It was a simple job to drill the holes out and countersink them. One of the 11 set castings was split but I didn't need them anyway. Kevin, I now have two spare latch housings but there's no deadbolt assemblies.

That 11 set assembly is coming along nicely, many thanks to a work collegue who's dad lives in Melbourne, I managed to secure an Australian 11 set which he brought back in his hand luggage.
