The trails will soon be plated both sides, and fully welded....but not by me! dsc_0595-resized-1024.jpg dsc_0593-resized-1024.jpg Axle was made from Land Rover stubs welded to 4mm steel tube. The 'hand brake' assembly is entirely fake, but if I get enthusiastic, it could be made functional as the actuator rod has since had a cam added, to press against the inside of LR brake shoes. That is if I choose to put the shoes in. The Land Rover axle stubs, hubs, backing plates, brake drums and wheels, have all been used for effect. dsc_0545-resized-1024.jpg

Hello everyone,
I am looking to purchase the following parts for 25 pdr. 2x wheels. Spare parts box. Tool box. Sighting assembly. Need everything except the cone, I have that but nothing to put it on. Illuminating apparatus case, no. 5. Miscellaneous hardware for trails. Except the ground anchor cover, I have that.

Upper bracket for dial sight case is now made. 20160412_145550-resized-1024.jpg 20160412_145506-resized-1024.jpg So are the brackets for attaching the rule to upper shield section. 20160412_150540-resized-1024.jpg The leather straps I ordered from a manufacturer in UK, have now arrived. I was starting to get nervous about their absence. They were well overdue on expected delivery date, but I am quickly learning Australia Post are much slower now than they used to be. I did a lot of looking for my footman loops, and cannot locate them, so I ordered another batch of 10. Now they are ordered, the others will probably emerge from the Bermuda triangle located somewhere in the workshop.

These little buggers won't be falling off their bracket/s. I added the wrinkling for added patina. By buying each strap in 18" length, without tongue holes, one piece cuts apart and does both sides of the bracket, with a few inches discarded. I'll be taking Mother shopping tomorrow, and will look for a nice dark brown polish to artificially darken the leather a bit more. I will order more of the same width straps in different lengths, for other tasks later on. The seller/s are very easy to deal with, and actually care about the customers. Refreshing, in these days.

Hi Tony,
I happen to have a pair of 25pdr wheels put away some where. They are quite heavy and I guess that a freight company would be the way to go to get them to you. I will take a photo in a few days and you can decide. regards Rick. Quote:

Here you go Tony. Now you have to arrange freight to you.
JGS and wheels 021a.jpg JGS and wheels 034a.jpg JGS and wheels 035a.jpg Photo one and three are the same wheel. I am sure you will find something I need for a swap. If not they are yours anyway. Regards Rick.
