Before the US housing crisis, a complete kit reached about $8000 US on ebay. There were obviously guys with more money than time, so that was their prerogative.
I think I saw a kit sold on the G503 about 6 months back for somewhere around the $4500 US mark. Using today's conversion rate, that $7000 Canadian price tag works out to about $5800 US.
