No1 is for the forestock and No.2 is for the bigger rear stock of the rifle. CMP trucks only use the No 1 for the forestock since the butt of the rifle rests in the wood socket.

The Lynx 11 also uses two rifle clips, one of each, to secure a Lee-Enfield horizontally above the top rear shelf.
