Just a quick look through the photos and I made a list. It is not complete as I know there is another Humber FV1600 in the shed. I had a good look around about 5 years ago with a young bloke who worked there. I took a few photos but they are hidden away somewhere. Plenty more ex military items which have not been photographed. So here goes. Humber FV1600 (Yellow) Lend Lease CHEV Jeep x 4 Jeep CJ3 (?) Jeep trailer x 3 Jeep trailer early or bantam Austin Champ x 2 Austin Gypsy Ferret Mk.2 Ferret engine in a crate Ferret transmission White Scout Car cut up ex Forestry or SEC LP2A Bren Gun Carrier looks pretty complete Universal carrier British or early LP Cletrac airfield tractor, pretty complete but broken track Ford F60L Cab 12 Ford 24 stud V8 military engines x 2 IHC Dozer WWII. DUKW x 2 Wiles cooker 4 wheel trailer Radar trailer Unfortunately I can't make it but might ask someone who is going to make a bid or two. So who is going who can put in a bid for me if needed? Thanks Rick.

I am sure I am not the only one out here that is very curious as to the history of this collection. Is/was the fellow a dealer in iron, a collector or just a little nuts like the rest of us?

| Robinsons

Hi Guys, Some may already know but....Robinsons are/were a very well known farm machinery traders dealing mainly in secondhand machinery and as old machinery was traded a collection took hold and it was added to over the years and its been there a very long time! They used to occupy a house/shed which was on the right side(southern) of the site. The house/shed has since been knocked down. The business is now opperated by the two sons which moved accross the road closer to the highway - I guess there was no room on the old site which fronted the old highway. Regards,

The yard has been there for as long as I can remember and being right alongside highway 31 (Melbourne to Sydney) until the town was bypassed some years ago everyone knew about it. The main reason the stuff is still there is that the original owner had a reputation for being abusive and difficult to deal with. Most likely because he was abusive and difficult to deal with. To put a kindly spin on it, possibly this was due to him being sick and tired of tyre kickers/time wasters. Apparently the obstacle has been removed as eventually happens in these cases. I have too much stuff myself so will not be there. Sudden thought! Perhaps I'm difficult to deal with? David

Haha, might be a good policy David. You and I both have experienced our share of difficult collectors and MV owners to learn from over the years!
