Lots of Cab 11 Fords being painted about half way through the film.

Some good footage here of how to prepare and paint your military vehicle. Use a brush or a spray gun. Straight from the Imperial War Museum archives. http://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/it...ect/1060033073 Enjoy, Rick

I have tried to make moves to find out re my previous statement but do not seem to be able to progress far on the IWM site. I note they advertise other films at the bottom of the page but these appear to unavailable to view how did you manage to get the camo video on your link Rick

Les, I did it the easy way, I found that link on HMVF and after watching it I just copied the link over to MLU. I do not know how to access others as I tried to as well and got nowhere.

			Good Luck. Rick.

			Nice one Rick,

Just goes to show that we should be very careful restoring our trucks, to the point of not over restoring them. I well remember the hand painted circle on the bonnet of my Dodge, around the star, when I rescued her well over 30 years ago. Great find ! Keith P.S. Dan / I have another bike to restore. |

Some time back somebody posted a link to a wartime film . The film, possibly a PATHE movie, showed a vehicle painting workshop in Egypt ? British vehicles were shown being painted in the workshop.

I have searched for the link but no luck .

			Ok thanks

After watching that film, I always think we are a tad too fussy with our restorations . Would the paint they are using, been sourced from the UK or a local Supplier in Cairo ?
