RCEME tag. DND number 2920 21 104 8681. 24 VOLT AUTOLITÉ IGNITOR spec axs 1050. IBF 4001 AUT.serial number is 3M35742.

That is a Cdn number which was replaced by a US part number of 2920-00-671-4551 (obsolete in Canada). The reference is that it's a distributor applicable to a compressor, rotary, 250CFM which would seem to tie in with what Bob was talking about..
Little wonder I had never seen one....I wasn't born when they were in service. Thankfully we have more seasoned veterans like Bob to have seen these.
