This is a pic of John Belfield's complete trailer. The truck connection frame can be seen above the tyre pile on the right. Note that these trailers also had 18" tyres and not 20". That's why all the old pics of them always show two spares, one for the truck and one for the trailer.
Also just visible in this shot above the directly above the diff lying on the ground is the trailer brake vacuum tank. The vacuum lines can be seen in the previous pic running along under the trailer tray.
