There ought to be a record of the sale of the Dodge ambulances ..Census Numbers
A 1323534 to A 1303769 A 1323593 to A1323591 A 1303803 to A 1323600 related to 'GIFTS OF VARIOUS AMBULANCES' including # A 1323587 1941, Dodge (USA) T116-WD21 operated by British American Ambulance Corps and this could have covered these 4 x 4 Dodges however although the Census Numbers are not known, Contract SM 2129 related to AMBULANCE 4 X 4 4-STRETCHER 123 w.b. supplied under US contract W-398-QM-DA-28, 250 were built. 1941 Model WC-27, Chrysler T215-WC-27. |

This is one of the 2500 Dodge D8A 'TRUCK 8-CWT. 4 X 4 PERSONNEL' shipped to Egypt, to Demand S/M 2029, Model T212. The C60L on the site could be to one of two batches sent to Egypt in 1942. [moderator's note: link updated] |
