Default CF 1951 Suburban

Robin, I think this old girl fits in here and I'd like to learn more about it. Your thread title should make this 1951 suburban easy to find in the future.

I'm told that it worked with the military in Edmonton. The family of my brother's current girly friend got it at an auction decades ago and I begged to get it under a roof. I don't own it but will help preserve it . I will post date details if it's ok to share more info here and lock down it's history.

Uncle Ed used it for work around north Edmonton, took the family to the sand-hills for picnics and then it got parked in a field with Chryslers.

Does anyone have any memories of tearing around in the 51' burb?

Was that wagon the one on Kijiji a while ago?

I thought about that quite seriously, but was also seriously skint at the time.

Great find, nice to see something different

This one has been hiding so it's never been listed. It went from CF to the family, the brother thinks 60's but we're checking, to a field, to my barn.

I think it's ideal for the 2 nighter MVPA events with a bedroom built right in the back.

Default CF 1951 Suburban dataplate

This should be a better picture of the data-plate if it helps us tell any more of the story.

I love the 3 piece date plate, I am guessing the data plate stamping machine could only stamp so 5 lines hence the co-joined set up.

Wonderful time capsule.

Default 50's Suburban

I stumbled on this picture some time ago and think it came out of Canadian Military Vehicles faceoff site.

Wouldn't it be cool if we dug out an ancient picture that had a young photo of a current MLU member.

Anyone recognize this spot?
