On a sideline.... are Bofors sights easy to get hold off? I have bofors guns but all are missing the sights!! Thats when I dug these unidentified sights out of a crate with a view of making them up... and a friend said they look like bofors sights..

I am not certain, Brad, but there might be another letter hiding in front of ORBINIA. If so, maybe that is the makers name and you might find them on the web to see what they were up to in the 50's.

There is a guy in Greece who has what appears to be Bofors sights, and best thing is you can tell what the time is so you don't miss dinner: https://www.ebay.com/itm/ORIGINAL-WW...8AAOSw0HVWE9pG
The ones I have are similar but a bit simpler. If it wasn't so damn cold out I'd head to the shed and get some photos. Ed's shots are of an earlier sight setup before the Stukey came into being. |

I looked at those clock sights on fleabay, They look like repros.. I have also got Oerlikon sights and the build is a higher quality than those for sale ..
Its the size of these ones I am trying to identify, They are a lot bigger than Oerlikon. almost a third bigger. I will try and dig out an Oerlikon sight and photograph it next to these bigger ones. As far as Im aware the Oerlikon sights were not used on the bofors, they were different and smaller. These are large ... possibly 3.7 gun? Brad |

Could that company name be 'Torbinia' A quick google search reveals that there was at least one British company with that name in the first part of the last century. https://www.gracesguide.co.uk/Torbinia_Engineering_Co
