Possibly part of a mine detector webbing set?
I'm thinking the Detector, Mine No.3 (Polish), maybe for the control box or to strap the search coil to the operator's arm for use when prone? The mine detectors started out in VAOS Section WA but were moved to Section ZA later on. The backpack I have is ZA.22756, which is Satchel, Signals, No. (4 or 5, I believe), and that's close enough for it to be almost certainly part of the same equipment. Chris. |

Ah, so I have ZA.22756 Satchel, Signals, No.5 - good to know.
![]() (This probably means that the mine detector backpack with the hole in the bottom for a cable is Satchel, Signals, No.4 - I don't have this one yet.) ![]() Chris. |
