Sounds like the way to go, Duuane
Something else has been worrying me about the pic of the front of your truck: the positioning of the headlights seems to be too low. Here's a pic of a Chevrolet in Canada:  And here's a Ford, at Camp Borden:  See how the headlight aperture is up at the top of the panel?
