It is very important to check for left over casting sand inside anything made in India or China ! A good washout is done as a precaution ! The piston was rusty but new spares for these engines are plentiful and relatively cheap.

The heavy flywheels needed to be balanced , a long tricky process . Lots of info on the web about these engines, thankfully . A dedicated lister forum has much helpful info.
