My view is that if one knows how many items one has in the accumulation , one does not have enough of those items in the accumulation...

Note that this philosophy on occasion requires the expenditure of a portion of the available funds in the purchase of jewelry for the much better half of the equation. Failure to invoke such a safeguard to one's behavior will almost certainly lead to a reduction in the accumulation.
