Wealth of CMP photos of are to be found in a web site dedicated to SAAF. I found them through a link that was published on the HMVF (Historic Military Vehicle Forum) the thread link is http://hmvf.co.uk/topic/39543-south-...comment-441972
The first link is to “These photographs originate from the private collection of Cpl. Ralph Harding. He was an aircraft mechanic attached to SAAF squadrons doing service in North Africa and Italy during WW2. Thanks to his grand son Kevin Smith who did the scanning and kindly made available these photographs to be published here. Please respect the copy rights of these photographs and contact me to obtain the necessary permission if you want to duplicate some of this material in other web sites or printed matter. Thanks Tinus le Roux November 2013” http://saafww2pilots.yolasite.com/ra...hotographs.php But there are more photos albums http://biltongbru.wixsite.com/ww2-sa...e/photo-albums My thanks to the people who took the time to share these photos and histories on the web. Snap shots like these are so often seen as just junk. Cheers Phil

Found in a Russian magazine, the caption says "British soldiers examine captured Russian guns used by the Wehrmacht in France":

It is a Public Archives of Canada photograph and the troops are Canadians, but the guns were Russian and repurposed by the Germans.
