Hi guys
Yesterday I was very happy with another new addition, during the further cleaning up of the old garage I found a runnig board that are mounted on the side of the tank. hopefully original parts will be added to the further cleaning up

here on you tube I found a water pump and I think this model of power pump was on the cmp but powered by the pto.

Any thoughts on how the pump if fitted to the truck? Here's some photos of the British type, as fitted to a Bedford MWC (albeit it used the smaller Mono pump). You will note it runs off a gear-and-chain setup, not directly connected to the PTO. Was the Canadian pump directly connected to the PTO, or geared off it?

Photos are not mine, btw; they were posted on the HMVF site some time ago.

the power pump is a Canadian Fairbanks-morse # 700 typhoon duplex , leather packed piston pump like the one in the movie.

my unfortunate original shortened pto shaft, he is about 10 "too short

it is a very good manual with a lot of information, if he does not sell it I will also get it from Rob.
unfortunately there are no sizes mentioned or large of filters or the like.

the power pump is driven directly by the pto by means of a cardan shaft.

the pto is switched on by a handle inside the cab.

Thanks for posting those photos Guy. My Chev is a 4x2, so no transfer case. The pump was driven off a PTO mounted to the side of the transmission. Similar to Richard's MWC setup.

The salvaged bits are for my MWC, I will post a couple of photos to show what they look like now in a couple of days.

According to the Bedford/Morris Parts list the Mono Pump is a type SC3

On earlier MWC's the pump was attached to the from bumper and driven directly off the engine. Later variants use a power take off.

(I am also looking for pumps and filters, especially a mono pump)
