I know people have made visual facsimilies of the Chevrolet tank, has anyone got experience making functioning replicas of the Chevrolet tanks? I think I'm going to have to make at least one of each pattern (side and under cab - the difference is orientation of parts as they are assembled, parts are basically the same).

I have a NOS one for a pattern. I need one for my HUW and would prefer using a copy leaving my original alone.
