Hello hall
Thank you for your helps I have the small gear box , add the two pint plus 1/3 for the PTO ,level is about 2" under the Filler plug . The gear stop leaking, everything is Ok now. Regards Sylvain

I checked my spares parts book and yep there was the second type, never thought to check it.

At least on the later models, there are two smaller level plugs on the other side of the transfer case. There was a thread on here a while back about the purpose (I seem to remember it was related to the temperature). As such there are two different capacities.
