Keith Webb had started to collate a list HERE, but there is no mention yet of WO49.

Bit of a discussion in THIS THREAD.

What we do know is that that truck is a C60L assembled at Pagewood in Sydney.

what's the L mean in C6OL as isn't their a C60S

I can't speak to Australian usage but for Canada there were C60S for power auger, wireless, light AA tractor (Bofors), engineer, derrick, breakdown, tipper 650 gal petrol tanker and signals construction. (some of these could have been Ford only like the SP Bofors)

S= 134" wheelbase.
2844300065S
2= 1942 build
8443= 60cwt long wheelbase
00065= 65th built that year
S= assembled in Sydney.

I did read the R could also indicate a replacement engine, but engine number matches plate so that's out.
