Thanks Paul.
I now understand the bottom link to the underside of the axle/spring. Its bolted onto bottom of the axle /spring mount and is rigid. The link arm from the shock absorber is more or less straight with sideways bends to clear the chassis frame. Thank you for helping me out with this, much appreciated.
