I think you've got that backwards (though it took me a while to confirm the addresses):

From: CANMILITRY (Canadian Military Head Quarters, London)

To: DEFENSOR (National Defence H.Q., Ottawa)

(The content says "prior to his return to Canada", which gave it away.)

It's a wonderful pile of history (and there appear to be spare cables with it).

I take it you now own it all?

Chris.

You are right Chris on both counts. Capt Mitchell was in England . He used this plan to install the amplifier in the new aluminium box called the Wire-5 . Earlier house type 15 Cwt trucks had boxes with steel sides and canvas roofs .

Default Extra ground wire on buss bar

Thanks to Gord Falk’s pictures i noticed there was an extra grounding wire on the buss bar under the wireless table . Here it is . That box was very well thought out and i venture to say overbuilt ! In the pictures we see the two power cables comming down behind the radio , to the left the two battery cables powering the starter on the Onan generator , the rods holding that particular battery and to the right the post -war CPP-2 i installed in the box to provide 12 volt power to the No 19 Set . When i will install the amplifier unit i will power both the No 19 sets and the amplifier with 120 AC Volts from the geny or an outside outlet with house power.

Default Grounding the buss bar

I finished grounding the buss bar as per Gord’s pictures of an original box . I turned the No 19 set on and immediately noticed better reception with less static . I have tested the No 19 set on a regular basis at the same time of day and on the same frequency ranges for the past month or so . You are to remember that the set , the carrier , the table and the batteries are all grounded to frame through this buss bar .
