Hi Karmen;

I still don't know where "R.C.T." came from, but its not that or RASC (Royal Army Service Corps). I'd have to say, that from what I can make out, he served with the Corps of Royal Engineers (RE), judging by the cap badge visible in one photo and the equipment in the other. I've attached an image of the RE cap badge (1939-1945).
