Richard,
Those K6 gantry trucks were pulled out for the REME wartime weekend back in May. They still look great, a testament to your work. I only wish they would drive them rather than shunt them everywhere. My mate brought his K6 gantry truck too, which he’s just bought and does drive. He’s having problems with the rear axle getting very hot, any thoughts? Tom

That is good to know the REME K6 is still going well, it was restored around 1989. I have driven it to and from several shows back in the 90's. Re. your mate's K6 rear axles, it is very important to have the correct oil in them as they are worm and pinion, with a bronze pinion gear. It must be SAE140 gear oil in there. Do not use an EP oil as it will damage the bronze components. regards, Richard
