![]() In Australia, the debate of becoming a Republic has been discussed a few times, but always put to rest out of respect while the Queen of Australia's reign continued, as being "not the right time to talk about it". Now that the "Heirs and Successors" come into play, I expect there will now be much vigorous discussion on the matter, based on there not (yet) being anywhere near as much respect for the new Monarch. While the Queen did not play a direct role in the politics and governments of the Commonwealth, her presence gave a remarkable stability and moderation to those countries for 70 years that, I believe, has not been replicated anywhere else in the world in modern times, and quite possibly at any time in history. |

I knew it was coming, but hoped it wouldn't have started today, however the "scrap the Monarchy and become a republic more like the Americans (we hate)" crazies are out in force on this most solemn of days. I've toasted Her passing with an old friend and we both got weepy. |

Our Queen. Phillip came to me today, and said it was time to go.
I looked at him and smiled, as I whispered that "I know" I then turned and looked behind me, and seen I was asleep. All my Family were around me, and I could hear them weep. I gently touched each shoulder, with Phillip by my side. Then I turned away and walked, with My Angel guide. Phillip held my hand, as he lead the way, to a world where Kings and Queens, are Monarch's every day. I was given a crown to wear, or a Halo known by some. The difference is up here, they are worn by everyone. I felt a sense of peace, my reign had seen its end. 70 years I had served my Country, as the peoples friend. Thank you for the years, for all your time and love. Now I am one of two again, in our Palace up above. RIP “LONG LIVE THE KING”

From a very young age I have followed and admired the British culture, its culture and its customs. Argentina has many buildings and constructions made by the British, when they built the great railway network that my country came to have. Reading Winston Churchill's memoirs brought me closer to the monarchy and what it means for the entire commonwealth of nations. The death of the queen has been sad news, our newscasts followed the news at all hours. We will miss hearing from her.
Rest in Peace Dear Queen!
