It's an aircraft set and virtually all the metalwork is aluminium. The SCR522 weighed 38kg including power supply.

There was a control unit (No.13) for the WS19 that connected to a TR1143 for Air Support use, usually fitted in a 3/4 ton wireless truck but demountable for use as a fixed station if required.
