Nice spotto, Rick! I lost track of that one after it came up for sale in 2010 - see http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/sh...954#post136954. Around the same time there was one for sale in Holland, too: http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/sh...959#post136959

It is one of a series of C8A HUP chassis converted into fire trucks, see a few more complete and/or restored survivors here.

This one deserves to be restored as such, but as there are some (more) complete survivors, this one will most likely be reduced to a source of spares for the military versions.


Nice to see the coachbuilder's plate preserved:
