Hi, Does anyone have information on what insignia would have been on WW2 Canadian vehicles in service on the home front in Canada?. i.e. something like this formation sign and tactical/unit sign on the other fender?, I’m looking to apply the marking to my tank hunter carrier.

The Canadian war museum has one with a 2 pdr artillery piece plonked on top, I’ve seen another in a museum in Canada which has the wrong gun on it. Both pictures attached here.

Which version of the 2in bomb thrower are you looking for?

Do you have a photo?

I made a quick trip to the Canadian War Museum and the technical expert there (Mike Miller) kindly let me take a few photos of their Tank Hunter Carrier. I believe it is somewhere on the list to get a restoration. Enjoy the photos.

The shield on the CWM example is a standard 2 pr shield, not the correct one for the tank hunter which was cut down along the lower edge.

Why "restore" if its wearing oiginal paint and markings ?? Make it safe and reliable to drive and operate, kit it with what should be on board and enjoy the barn find look. Far to great is the rush to "restore" with fresh paint (Holy Roller) and "make it better" to the eye...........everything, was only new once.
