The use of the atvs is, I suspect, to take advantage of the small size, advanced off road capabilities, and cross country speed. An iltis is not the same thing.

As Afghanistan showed, soft skin vehicles have no place outside the wire. There will have to be doctrine written toward the atv use.

Speaking of which, I see several of the polaris atvs being sold in the US on govplanet. Perhaps they have thought better of the idea, and they will join the growlers. https://www.govplanet.com/for-sale/P...rm=&pnLink=yes
