...but presumably separated from the grenade - and may have been a 'training' version anyway. The base plug looks to be most of the way out and I would expect paint markings on the body if it had been filled.

(A friend had one at school back in the 1970s - his mother worked at the factory during WW2, making them, and various workers 'collected' one as a souvenir when the place shut down.)
