Reading the wartime newspapers on the Trove site, I have seen the colloquial term "Blitz buggy' used to describe military vehicles. I have found more Morris CS8 truck adverts..... in post-war Australian newspapers . The 4X4 advert would likely be one of the refugee Morris C8/AT Portees.
I have not been able to find any reference to how these CS8 trucks were landed in Australia, the likely scenario was refugee cargo - unfortunately there isn't any listings in the AWM 126 ledgers for Morris CS8 trucks. There is a single 6x4 Morris CD listed.
