Default Mega projects

The road project reminds me of another story posted here about a 'military road' through the sweltering, unrelenting harshness of the Australia outback. A seaport on one end, desert in the middle, and a staging community at the other. The drivers, mechanics and crews could barely keep their trucks running to get to the destination.

The second is the Northwest Staging Route and Alaska Highway through western Canada and Alaska. No road? Build one! Pour the force of will into making a ground route that could handle truck convoys between airfields.
