Dean,
One of my good friends and members of the MV group passed away recently and his estate will be auctioned off in the next few months. I hear around September sometime.
The reason I'm letting you know, is that John was a collector of quite a bit of militaria and mvs, most of which are in poor shape.
In the collection is a nice MK 1 UC that needs restoring. It is for the most part complete, uncut and needs a new home. The is a second carrier that is cut down and bastardized which would lend itself well for a nice set of tracks and boggies.
If I were you I'd come up and see what it goes for, you never know.
The last auction I bid on a carrier and quit at $1800, it was obvious that the buyer had a deep pocket.
I have heard of carriers going anywhere from scrap value of a couple hundred dollars up to $6000 for an unrestored one.
