Does the occasional cigar preclude my participation? I do, however, qualify on the other count.

Great idea for a contest though!

Ah Richard, you'd probably had a 44 gallon drum of that warm flat ale from that lovely pub at Appledorn near your workshop...

The real clue is the "GPA" title on the bottom identifying the jpeg. I am suprised that no one has yet mentioned it.

Hi Lynn,

It took you 5 years to spot the deliberate mistake then

I had the dubious pleasure of driving Half-Safe at Corowa in 1999 thanks to Bob Dimer who trucked it over from Western Australia. I say dubious because. as you sit sofar back from the bow with all that extra cabin built forward, it was a handful to drive. No we didn't take her for a swim.
Not too many people can say that they have driven the only vehicle ever to circumnavigate the earth on both land and sea under its own power. Thanks for the experience, Bob. (RIP)
I'll find some photos one day and post them up.
Rick

I have Ben Carlins book, and the interior was standard GPA.
This shot of yours must have been after "Half safes" 1952-54 rebuild.

Hi Mate, how are you?

Actually, that pub has closed now, but the other one is still open

Look forward to a chat / email sometime.

regards, Richard
