[Edward C. ]Riley played a major rôle in decisions made in his various offices: as General Manager he was responsible for all assembly plants and distributor territories outside North America. He was then sent in 1935 to set up the Swiss Plant. Riley oversaw the construction of a new assembly plant that opened on 8 February 1936, in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland.
