Hi Pauline,

Our Uncle's and the rest of the group with them were executed in a field, not a courtyard, but there was another group of soldiers executed in a courtyard location.

I think I'll type out some of the information from Howard Margolian's book, "Conduct Unbecoming", Chapter 9, beginning on page 90, entitled "The Mohnke Murders", that tells about the events and what happened to the group of soldiers that our Uncle's were executed with. Please bear with me while I type it out in my word processor then upload it here.
