Default Have you tried ...

... the usual old truck restoration guys?

I see that The Filling Station ( Lebanon, Oregon) has 65', 70", and 75" speedo cables listed for all Chevy car/truck applications from 1937 to 1970 ( same part number ) for $16.50 to $37.50.

Jim Carter Classic (Chev) Truck parts has 72" metal wrapped cables for $27.50, and the black vinyl 81" version for $22.00.

Dennis Carpenter has them for even less for Fords.

My Chev CMP speedo cable is metal wrapped, and seems to be in good shape.

I found all of this out as I was poking around on the world wide web looking for a loooooong speedo cable for the T-16 Carrier . I suspect that the guts are all the same, and the ends won't be that different. Do you need to invest in a special tool to crimp on the cable ends? Does anybody have both a jeep and a CMP to see if the cables have any similar bits?
