I still like the details that I can see and believe it to be original. It is rather dark looking from that varnish and could benefit from having it carefully removed. There are a number of individuals that would be able to replace the lugs if you so desired. Unfortunately, I don't have any names to give you but if you ask around I'm sure someone can help.
